Sizing & Care

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE I AM FOR MEDIUM RARE APPAREL?

HOW DO I LAUNDER MY MEDIUM RARE APPAREL?

ALL Chef Jackets (Reflexx Twill fabric)

- Machine wash in cold water with like colours, tumble dry low and remove promptly. DO NOT IRON.

ALL Pants, Kitchen Shirts & Twill Aprons Jackets (65/35 poly-cotton twill)

- Machine wash in cold water with like colours, tumble dry low and warm iron if needed.

ALL Denim, Selvedge Denim & Canvas items (100% cotton)

- We do not recommend putting any denim, selvedge denim* or canvas items in the dryer as this will result in shrinkage.

- Machine wash in cold water with like colours, lay flat to dry and warm iron if needed.

* Selvedge Denim – We recommend that you wash this as little as possible to maintain the colour of the denim.
This fabric is likely to shrink by 5% on its first wash, so be sure to wash in cold water to reduce shrinkage.
You can also add a little salt to the water to stabilize the indigo. Lay flat to dry.

ALL Aprons with Leather Straps

– DO NOT wash your leather straps!!! These are designed to be removable for laundering. Routinely check over and tighten all the metal fastening hardware.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LEATHER GOODS?

We have specifically chosen leathers that age beautifully over time and little care is needed.
If you would like to condition your leather to rehydrate it, or to jump-start the darkening and softening process, we recommend any natural leather conditioner/oil – a little goes a long way.

Shipping Orders

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

All IN STOCK items will ship within 24-48 hrs. All SPECIALTY CUSTOM items will ship within 2 weeks. Orders placed over the weekend and on holidays will ship the following business day. All orders are shipped via FED EX regular ground service; you will receive a shipping confirmation via email once your order has shipped, along with a tracking number.

CAN I REQUEST A CUSTOM ORDER?

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED?

When we ship your order, we will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number. Please note that changes of address will not show up in the confirmation (but if we say we have processed them, we have, don't worry), and tracking numbers will take up to 24 hours to update.

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED TO CHANGE MY ORDER OR SHIPPING INFORMATION?

If you need to change your order or your shipping information, please email us immediately at sales@mediumrarechef.com so we can update your order. We may or may not be able to make the change, depending on how quickly you get in touch with us, but we will do our best.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Medium Rare offers flat rate shipping to anywhere in Canada for $17.50 CDN and anywhere in the US for $15.00 USD

HOW DO DISCOUNT CODES WORK?

Occasionally we will provide discount codes with special offers and gift cards. These can be found through various platforms such as emails, on social media, or at promotional events. Discount codes can be entered at the checkout screen. Discount codes are for one time use only, hold no remaining balance, and we reserve the right to suspend their usage at any time.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Medium Rare Chef accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal. If none of these of payment methods will work for you, shoot us an email and we’ll see if it is an option to add in the future..

Returns/Exchanges

Medium Rare Chef Apparel clothing is built to last, fit just right and make your wildest chef dreams come true. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we want to know. We’ll gladly assist you through the return process.

RETURNS DETAILS REGULARLY PRICED ITEMS

You have 30 days to return an item from the purchase date. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. We’ll also need the item to be in its original packaging accompanied by the receipt and/or proof of purchase with the return label issued to you by our customer service staff. There are no returns or exchanges on custom orders.

HOW TO RETURN YOUR ITEM

To return an item to us, please contact customer service contact us by email or phone so we can issue you a return label.

SHIPPING ITEMS BACK FOR RETURN

Unless the product is damaged or defective upon delivery to your address, a fixed return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. If the product is damaged or defective when you receive it, we will cover any shipping and/or restocking fees.

SHIPPING ITEMS BACK FOR EXCHANGE

Unless the product is damaged or defective upon delivery to your address, once your exchanged item has arrived back at our warehouse we will contact you for your credit information to cover the cost of the return shipping as well as the exchanged shipping.

RETURNS DETAILS - SALE ITEMS

Sale/Clearance items can not be returned or exchanged - these items are final sale.

REFUND PARTICULARS

Once your returned item reaches us, we will first inspect the item and then immediately notify you on the status of your refund. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will then receive the refund within 30 business days depending on your card issuer’s policies.

RETURN PROCESSING

In most cases, once a returned item arrives in our office it will be processed within 3 to 5 business days. Please note that if your returned order has to pass through customs this can take up to an additional 3-5 business days. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

WHERE DO I DROP OFF MY PACKAGE FOR RETURNS?

The drop off location will be clarified by our sales representative when a return label is sent to you.

WHAT IF I THINK A PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE?

Due to the intense nature of working in the kitchen all items will undergo normal wear and tear however if you think there is an issue that extends beyond this we would be happy to look into it. Very few items are truly defective, and genuine defects will most often reveal themselves within 30 days of purchase. If your issue arises within this time period please send us a few pictures with a brief description to sales@mediumrarechef.com and our claims and warranty department will get back to you within 3-5 business days with an answer.
